Effect: A clown named Tommy is introduced to the children. Particular mention is made to tell the audience that Tommy always wears a bright bow tie. The kids will begin to shout that Tommy is not wearing a tie and the magi seems a little embarrassed at not noticing. Magi explains that Tommy is a bit forgetful and didn't think to choose a tie from his closet. A beautiful wood closet is introduced where four different colored ties are neatly stacked inside. The children are allowed to choose a tie for Tommy to wear and the closet is closed. At this point Tommy can be covered with a handkerchief (not provided), however I leave him in the open. The children are told that Tommy is a magic clown and can put his tie on in an instant. As the "Tommy" card is lifted out of the stand and a red bow tie appears instantly on the clown. When the closet door is opened the red bow tie is gone.
