Description

Norm Nielsen collection of about 30 items including seven autographs.  This amazing archive took me decades to put together.  I had a chance to see Norm perform magic at the IBM Convention in San Diego, and he was incredible.  It was like a dream come true, to see him levitate the violin.  But the thing that really blew me away was when he floated a piano. A frickin' piano!  Oh my gosh.  My brain freaked out in the most wonderful way.  I consider him to be one of the greatest Magicians who ever lived.  Here's your chance to get a super, once--in-a-lifetime collection from this fascinating Magician.  This includes:
Autograph cover of “Magic” Sep. 2000, signed in black ink pen with some skipping, with 16 more photos and 8-page article “Conjuror, craftsman, and collector as well” by John Moehring; entire issue in good condition
Autograph cover “M-U-M” Aug. 2001 signed in black felt pen, also signed by Lupe, with 10-page interview with him and 16-page insert of 8 color magic posters with descriptions; entire issue in good condition
Autograph postcard of him floating a violin, signed in gold pen and inscribed to “Michael” with original envelope; postcard by Photo-Matic Corp., color size 3 1/2” x 5 1/2”
Autograph postcard of him floating a violin, signed in silver ink with a stamp on the bottom “Al’ Olympia Bruno Coquatrix”; postcard by Photo-Matic Corp., color size 3 1/2” x 5 1/2”
Autograph on photo of him floating a violin, signed in black ink, color photo size 5” x 7” in good condition
Caricature from the book “The Magic Castle Walls of Fame”, art by Ted Salter, published by Nielsen Magic in 1988 (ISBN 0 9618 1750 X).  This is a detached page in good condition from the book, size 8 ¼” x 10 7/8”.  There is printing on the back of the page.  There is a rough edge on the left-hand side of the page, from where the page was glued to the spine, but it doesn’t affect the image.
Caricature from the book “Magic Autograph Poster Gallery” by Gary Darwin, published by Geno Munari Associates in 1989.  This is a cut page in good condition from the book, size about 8 ¼” x 11”.  There is a different caricature printed on the back of the page.  There is an irregular edge from where the page was cut from the book, but it doesn’t affect the image.

These would look great in your magic library!  I am a big fan of magic collectibles, ever since I got my first package from David Price's Egyptian Hall Museum back in the 1970s.  This comes from my personal collection.  I think magic history is interesting.  Magicians are some of the most fascinating people you will ever meet.  I like Magic Biography so much that I even created a website to honor distinguished magicians in magic history.  You might find it some day tripping across the internet.
Who am I?  I am the Curious Magician Michael Johnson.  I wrote the book "Playing Cards Autographed By Magicians: A Collector's Guide" that sells on Amazon.  I am one of the top Sleight-of-hand Magicians in San Diego County.  I have a massive library of memorabilia.  Now I'm selling off my stuff to pursue new adventures.  Check out my store.  Maybe you'll find something that interests you!  Thanks for taking a moment to read my listing.
