Meccano-Like Delta-x Steel Construction Kit Made In Japan 3V Reversing Motor

Delta-x Steel Construction Kit #D-400 is a rare, vintage 1974 building toy that was made in Japan.  It is similar to Hornby Meccano and Gilbert Erector sets.
Parts:
motor is tested and working, a bit noisy
controller has forward and reverse, 1.5V and 3V settings
battery compartment had some corrosion, it has been cleaned as well as possible, it is in working condition
the parts chart doesn’t say how many of each piece should be in this set
some parts are metal and some are plastic, with minor play wear and corrosion
it looks like there is one extra 10 Hole Base Plate, part #P-001
the only piece that’s missing is the Plastic Drum Set, part #P-007
the hank of cord is not original
Manual:
complete and intact, minor creasing and light tanning, no handwriting
Plastic Storage Case:
clean and intact, very good condition
Box:
fair condition, mostly intact with staple reinforcement, average surface and edge wear, minor tears and tape
Measures about 12-3/4“ x 11-1/4“ x 2-1/4" and weighs 5 pounds 1 ounce.
(32 x 28.5 x 5.5 cm and 2.3 kg)
