ITEM:  If you look at Magic Token collecting and scholarship, there are three names to explore-- John Mulholland, Edgar Heyl, and F. William Kuethe Jr.  All three were not just collectors, but scholars who collected and published articles on the history of these magic tokens.   When it was time to sell Heyl's collection, his close friend Bill Kuethe was asked to take care of the sale.  Rather than just do a list of tokens for sale, Kuethe created a book that documented all the tokens, but also, in honor of Heyl, included many of Heyl's published articles from the Token and Medal Society journals, and the Journal of Necormantic Numismatists.  So what will you find in this catalog:
15 pages listing all the tokens and such in Heyl's collection, amassed over a 50 year time span.
Reprints of Heyl's articles for the Tams Journal on Magician's Mirror Cards, two articles on the first magic medal of Hieronymous Scotto,  7 page analysis of the Martinka Tokens,  6 pages on early magic tokens, 4 articles from Tams Journal on Bulson, Herr Alexander, Thayer, and Herrman tokens, 28 pages of letters,  mostly from Heyl, detailing information on magic tokens, 16 pages of letters from Dr. Gene Bulson detailing information magic tokens, etc. etc. etc.
This catalog book is a treasure of information for any who collect magic tokens.
SIZE:  8 1/2 by 11 inches, 130 pages, plus light card covers.
