Green Vista's Rainbow Chips & Chunks consists of biological filter media cut into various sized chunks, which drastically increases the surface area. Chips & Chunks have a considerably higher surface area than most other types of filter media, and are compatible with virtually any brand, size or shape of filter!
This increased surface area provides space for beneficial bacteria to grow and spread, helping to keep your pond healthy. Rainbow Chips & Chunks will range in size and shape that are cut anywhere between 1 - 11 inch pieces and consist of various sizes, shapes, colors and densities. Color and size of the chunks will vary.
Rainbow Chunks & Chips are a great upgrade for any brand of waterfall or biofilter tank. Rainbow Chips & Chunks are resistant to clogging, and will also provide years of effective, worry-free filtration with less maintenance than lava rocks (which are significantly heavier and more difficult to clean).
