Extremely dense surface area for microbial adhesion
Used in hatcheries, tropical fish farms, koi ponds, waste water systems, cooling towers, and other commercial and industrial water clarification systems
Excellent for koi pond biological filters
Will not compact like soft filter media. Reduces channelizing of water around media improving optimal flow.

Color may vary between shades of black and gray. Bioballs measure approximately 1.5" x 1.25" in size.
JUMBO BioBalls Biological Filter Media have an extremely high surface area for bacteria to colonize. The trickle effect increases dissolved oxygen levels in the aquarium and cleans or filters the water as the BioBalls combine with organic waste to dissolve it.
A far better option for bio-media than lava rock and much lighter.
BioBalls are used by hatcheries, tropical fish farms, koi ponds, waste water systems, cooling towers, and other commercial & industrial systems.
