    Description

Arnold Furst Poster-His photo-Houdini Escape-Mounted on brown kraft paper--
(No Reserve-Bid & the Item Will Sell)
ITEM:   Here is an Arnold Furst Poster, with his photo on center right, with drawings and text all around.  He features a Houdini Escape, which is probably listed again on the bottom of poster, "ADDED ATTRACTION / CHALLENGE PACKING / BOX ESCAPE."
Poster is mounted on brown kraft paper by former owner, with fold overs on all four edges, so brown paper now is like a border.  Poster has multiple folds and tears, mainly on the end of folds.  A prime example of what NOT to do to a poster to preserve it, yet it has been preserved, with all it's faults.
Since this has multiple folds, it will be shipped flat.
    Magicpedia, courtesy of Genii Magazine:
    Arnold Furst
(1918-2002) was a magician, author, lecturer and hypnotist.
Furst was known to magicians as the inventor of the "Fresh Fish" paper tear in which a strip of paper with the words "Fresh Fish Sold Here Today" is torn into pieces using a comical presentation and then restored.  As a magician he toured during WWII with the
    USO
presenting his routine with Oscar the white rabbit. After the war he performed in nightclubs and did many shows for children.
    He appeared at the 1946
    FISM
, but his success came in the field of Hypnotism where he wrote a number of books on using hypnosis for therapy.
    He provided many contributions to
    Genii
Magazine from the 1930s to the 1960s and he was a charter member of the
    IBM
    Ring 21 in Hollywood.
