The book was pitched in the lobby before his show incentivizing that if an audience member bought the book, Webster would answer their question.
Edward William Wells was a magician/mentalist who went by the stage name Webster the Mastermind. He owned Edwell's Trick & Novelty Store in Macon, Georgia. Ed Wells learned the magic biz while working for Howard Thurston. He fashioned his persona as a mind reader in the same vein as Alexander, The Man Who Knows" and wore a turban and Far East inspired costumes. After his death, his widow Alice kept the shop in Macon- she had also acted as his assistant in his act.
The book's cover has original artwork by "Swami Eldred Calcutta" with some slight edge wear to the front and back cover, small bit of the upper corner on the back cover missing.
