    Description

This is a very rare and difficult to find all original and complete Manual of Instruction from a 1931 No. 8½ A. C. Gilbert Erector Set. This set was referred to as "The Set That Builds The Super Locomotive and 398 other models". The classic era Hudson sets were considered to be the most collectible and popular of all the sets issued during this period.

Please note: I do not set the shipping rates, so unfortunately I have no control over how much it will cost. eBay handles that pricing based on the information I put into the listing. All I do is put in the size of the shipping container - in this case I put in 12" x 9" x 1" (must round up to make a whole number) and 1 lb. of weight. I do add a fee for covering the costs of the packaging, and for my gas costs to take the item over to the Post Office or to Fed Ex or UPS, whichever it may be. Ultimately, the shipping costs are based on the zip code and location of the purchaser. The farther away from my location to that of the purchaser, the higher the shipping rate will be. I do provide at least 3 choices for shipping options to the purchasers - USPS, UPS and Fed Ex, and it is always the cheapest methods that are offered (ground service). I have tried to ship these books via the inexpensive USPS Media Mail rate in the past, and sometimes the US Post Office lets it go through and other times I have been denied that type of service. USPS Media Mail could save at least - , but they don't include insurance for the item, and I prefer to have insurance on anything I ship. If you are interested in making this purchase, and agree to bear the loss costs should there be any damage to the item or theft of the item during the shipping process, then by all means, feel free to choose the Media Mail Shipping option. But be aware that by choosing the Media Mail option you agree to bear all costs of any losses during shipping.
