16 Brotherhood of Magicians Membership Cards - 1950 to 1966 - Ken RudolphI recently received a large number of items from the estate of William Kennett Rudolph, who was a magician and long-time member of the Magic Castle (The Academy of Magical Arts, Inc.) starting in 1964, and also a 25+ year member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians who was awarded The Order Of Merlin for his long-time membership. He was also a member of the Society of American Magicians going back at least until 1946, and a member of The Pacific Coast Association of Magicians.
This lot consists of 16 of Rudolph’s original membership cards from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. These are dated 1950, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965 and 1966.
These all have signatures of the president of the organization at time of issue, however I do not know if any are original signatures or printed signatures as originally produced. All are original and authentic membership cards. Please see high resolution scans.
Cards have been mounted on a sheet of scrapbook paper. There are 8 cards on each side of the sheet. It appears as though each has been mounted with a piece of double-stick tape. I have not attempted to remove any of these, and am selling them as found.
Condition of the front of the cards is good overall. There is a slight brown residue to the top of the 1956 card, slight stains to the 1963 card, and some paper loss to the upper-left corners of the 1965 and 1966 cards. The backs are mounted to a scrapbook page as mentioned above.
Please see my other auctions for magic memorabilia from Rudolph’s estate. I will be listing more items from his estate in the coming weeks.
Shipping will be combined for those who buy multiple lots.
CA residents must pay sales tax or provide resale info. No returns unless something is accidentally misrepresented.
